ORGANIZATION PROFILE

Jelerhat Ghola Mitali Sangha is a district level organization registered under the Societies Registration Act by the Govt. of West Bengal with Registration No. S/34932 of 1981-82. The organization situated in Baruipur Development Block under District South 24 Parganas distance about 40 km from the heart of Kolkata.

Jelerhat Ghola Mitali Sangha has been working with various development activities towards promotion and development of Tiny & Small-Scale units. Major strategy of bringing about development is promoting people’s participation, upgradation & Skill Development Programmes for the existing units, rendering sincere support to overcome unemployment amongst the youth of the district by conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programmes. Organizing farm women through Self Help Groups (SHG), transfer of technology in the fields of farm production. Improvements of human health, education are some of the other important areas of concern of the organization.

Also, the organization has been working with various development activities for improving the productivity of agriculture and agro-allied crops for ensuring food security. Major strategy of brining about development is promoting people’s participation, organizing farm woman through self help groups, transfer of technology in the fields of farm production. Improvement of human health, education, entrepreneurship among young people are some of the other important areas of concern of the organization.

Jelerhat Ghola Mitali Sangha is also involved with the awareness Camp for Human Rights, Environment and pollution, cultural & Educational Developmet, etc. In spite of that, the organization has its own programme like 1) Child Education centre 2) Health Service for all 3) Cultural programmes 4) Sports and Games etc. This organization has been implementing their programmes in association with various Department both Central and State Government and various Non-Govt. Organization.
